El Puente is a collection of photographs of bridges in and around Oaxaca, Mexico, created through a dialogue between a Ukrainian photographer based in Kyiv and a Polish photographer travelling without restrictions in Mexico. While one photographer could move freely, the other remained confined by the realities of war. In Ukraine, Russia's full-scale invasion transformed the act of photographing civilian infrastructure from a neutral practice into one with strategic significance. El Puente forms a metaphorical bridge between these two distant places.
